Debbie, you really only need to be concerned about adding to the weight of the home in 3 instances:

Piano, waterbed, or adding drywall

However, if you are concerned about this particular piece of furniture, have a local mobile home contractor come out and add a post or jack to the home right under where your new armoire will be going. This will be very cheap compared to the cost of fixing damage from not doing this.
