Letting home go back

I have been buying a manufactured home for 14 yrs. It was bought in my then boyfriends and my name. He left 6 months later and now don't know where he is. So I tried to get in my name and pay it off before I retire. I told them to pick it up..Owe $16,000. What is the normal actions in this situation of the mortgage company?
